Me too. I'm considering cutting up the storage bag from my Leven hood. I never use the bag and that heavy-duty leather-effect vinyl would make a perfect "fernie flap".

I find it fits just as well (and takes up less boot space) if the carbon-fibre side faces towards the front and the mohair (ie. top) side faces the back, so that the curvature of the roof panel sort-of wraps round the fuel tank.

OK - It's obviously a tighter fit in the Griff because that don't work.

.mark - yes, I've got the Fernies flap too (were you starting to think you were alone?!). Never use it, though - I reckon it would scratch the paint, ironically. If you're careful, you can slide the roof in without touching the bodywork anyway.

Have faith Cockers, I don't see how a piece of vinyl would scratch the paint.
I use mine all the time no problems...well I say all the time, it's just that my Chimaera lives out side at the moment and the recent freezing weather must have affected the glue and it's fallen off!! (oh-er).

Jon RB ... is that re-upholstering a warranty job? If not, would you mind letting me know how much it is going to set you back? The carpets in mine were once dark blue, but have faded badly where they catch the light and have got damp.

Its a warranty job, I'm afraid. Well, I say "I'm afraid" but am actually very happy about that personally.

Good news 4 u. I bought mine off a mate. Claiming on my warranty involves thumb screws and a red hot poker.
