Hi

I have Just collected (yesterday) the yellow beast (Chim 450) and am thinking about getting the chips and blemishes done. It is "Halcyon Midas Pearl), so would this be too much for one of these mobile outfits?

If not, are any of them reccomended?

Many thanks

I think there's some mixed reviews if you read through some of the Previous Threads and Another One. If you can get any recommendations from somone local to you thenthat sounds like the way to go. If there's a lot of them it might be worth considering a front end respray. If there's just a few you can get paint sticks from Webbs (TVR Body Shop) along with some Langka

Depends how much TLC you want to give your car!!!

I've just looked at the Langka website - sounds excellent. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Yes! had good results with it, better than doing nothing after blobbing the paint on but can take several goes to get the result that the website claims was done by a 10 year old!

It was a while a go (last year??), but I posted something on using it.... and now can't find it!!!

Intresting. Do you have to buy the Langka via their web or is there a UK distributor and how are they on ICI paint codes

I have bought and used Langka on my BMW 7 series and found it to be very good. I bought from their web site and it was shipped very quickly direct from the States.

I bought the 4oz one, and actually got two 2oz bottles shrink wrapped together - each of which is plenty to do a few scratches. Handy if you want to 'go halves' with someone [I can't confirm if they still do this].

I haven't used it on my Chimaera yet but will do soon - I'm sure it will have the same effect (although my Chim is a pearlescent whereas the BMW is a solid colour).

Not sure what is meant by the query on ICI paint codes - Langka works in combination with a touch up paint, which you must obtain separately.

Some information I received when I placed my order. I removed the making money bit coz I consider it irrelevant. The link to the impala web site has a few tips worth reading. I haven't checked that these links are all still alive.

Dear Richard,

Thank you for ordering LANGKA...The Blob Eliminator. It will be shipped within 2 days, so get ready to fix those chips!
We have five items below: A. Reminders about this process B. An independent web site showing the process if you want to view a step by step digital. C. Langka Corp request (optional). D. Business Opportunity E. New Product
A. REMINDERS:
1. As our web site states in numerous locations, LANGKA is designed to work on manufactures pre-mixed touch up paint, those little pre-mixed bottles you buy in auto parts stores OR your auto dealership in the parts department. You will need this paint for the repair. (LANGKA works too quickly on paint mixed at a body shop or a paint supply business for body shops. If you use this type of paint, let it dry for days.)
2. Be sure to let this paint dry for 45 to 90 minutes or longer before removing the excess paint with LANGKA. For Scratches, we recommend you let the paint dry over night and be sure to rub perpendicular to the scratch when removing the "Blob". Rub slowly, and as the "blob" begins to smooth down, rub lighter. USE a clean, smooth cloth...like a t-shirt, or bed sheet...(not a terry towel!!!). In summary, please view our GENERAL DIRECTIONS at www.langka.com/nfhow.htm#top (with graphics) and our DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS at www.langka.com/instructions.html.
B. WEB SITE TO VIEW
Interestingly enough, we have many users of our product who are building web sites that demonstate in more detail the process of repairing chips. You may want to check out one of these sites for a rather detailed explanation with close-up photos of the process. It is: www.impalahq.com . Click on the "how to" button and scroll down this page to a photo of a bottle of touch up paint and click on it. This will open the page.
C. LANGKA REQUEST
Maybe you can assist us. Do you specifically remember what chat room or auto site you heard of LANGKA or the key words you used on the search engine? You do not have to reply to this request, but if you are so inclined, it helps us better market the product. Thanks in advance.
E. NEW Product. This is a MUST. Check out our new product for Wheel Rims (2 yr. warranty) & Engine Compartment Surface Protectant (3yr warranty)... IF you want to protect these areas and improve the shine dramatically AND make these areas easy to keep clean...check out www.langka.com/nyalic.htm. We offer the complete kit (engine degreaser/prep agent and Nyalic aerosol spray in a complete kit). Before and after photos are on this page as well. Seriously, take a moment and look at this link.!!!

Thank you again. We know you will enjoy LANGKA...The Blob Eliminator as thousands have around the world. If you have any questions or comments, please email or call us.
Thank you again for your order.

Best regards,

Larry Johnson, President
