Looking for advice on steps to investigate why the wipers are malfunctioning (1998 Chimaera 450).
Intermittent doesn't work, slow just stops mid screen but fast works fine. Should I get a new motor or are there other things to eliminate first?
cheers

If your motor lives under the bonnet they can suffer from water ingress so benefit from removal and strip/clean first.
The wiring connector suffers most but also the park switch which is a very common failure.
Not difficult to remove but you need to be fairly confident with spannering.
I believe there are 3 fuses responsible for this circuit, 15,17 and 18 all worth checking.
