Car in factory yesterday and one of jobs was fitting Magnecor leads, but do not think it will be this. Was fine all way home but today as drive along feels like the limiter is kicking in but only 2-3000 revs. Then cutting out, and lurching all over the place. At idle revs all over the place. can anyone help as long way to C. Neils. Have a HP driving course booked for Bruntingthorpe Friday. Thanks a lot.

I had a similar problem which started after I put some new HT leads on, it turned out to be the way I had routed the leads, they ran parallel and close to the signal cables to the ignition amplifier and the dizzy pickup. After re-routing them the problem disappeared. I guess noise pickup was the problem, I suspect this is more of a problem with the magnacor leads as I believe they have a coiled core conductor.
Try re-routing the HT leads away from other cables.
Hope this helps
