I have a 95/N Chimaera in Starmist Blue with mushroom and blue half leather interior, Ive never been that keen on the colour and fancy a change, my local spray guy has given me a budget to work to which im more than pleased with. I really like the cameleon colours and fancy a green/purple/blue mix called Hacilon??? I think which would match the interior ok, but use the car everyday so dont no if its practical, any views. Ive considered yellow and feel it suits the car car to a degree, the blue roof would look good but the mushroom would have to be converted (local guy great for that sort of thing!!). Red? my last 5 cars have been red (bored of that) not really into green, or what about a dodge viper type blue mettalic??? really having trouble. Spring is the time to decide by, thats when she's booked in. Any ideas welcomed, let me know about what you have, I know its personnal preference but some advice always welcome.

I too have a Starmist blue one with tan/blue half hide. I always plan well in advance and my next is most likely going to be a 4.5LW Cerbie - in Chianti Starmist - I just love that colour so dark it's almost black, fantastic. Not sure how it will look with the interior/roof you have though, could get expensive!

The trouble I see with changing the colour of yours would be everything has to be painted, engine out? And you'd have(?) to tell the factory, the paint code would be wrong on the inner wing details, it may put off a potential new buyer? That is a whole lot of work, wouldn't it be easier to buy another car in the colour you want?

What you need is Cosmos Blue (see my profile). Same colour as the Cerbera picture that graced the promo pages of TopMarques for years.

I'm totally unbiased of course.

This is a rather handy little site that lists a load of TVR colours.

www.o-boyle.com/colour/

Chameleon Black/Reflex Charcoal is my favourite by a mile (although not listed on that site).

Matt.

The engine bay is a heat resisting black with only the top of the wings in blue, the painter (family Friend owned paint repair shop for 25 years)has viewed the car and classed it as 'Easy' to paint due to e/bay, no roof, only trubs may be innerwing/door openings, again he said he has the tools, Ive had cars done by him before and they are undistinguished to factory finish, interior could be a problem as for a leather seats recovering is approx £750 then theres the auxhilary parts, I would like to find a colour thats suits the interior I have, tell me what mixes of colours you all have to give me ideas as what goes, or does'nt as the case maybe! I bought the car not for colour for condition, I looked at so much 'immaculate!!' tat.
thanks so far chaps and chapessess

vinny,i think the colour you are thinking of is halcyon atlantis which i agree is a great looking colour,i saw a chimp this colour at dealer in manchester.the reflex colours though i thought were really expensive (six grand option because of the cost of paint)unless you know any different??? my favourite is probably reflex spice with parchment hide though.i personally have a moonraker black with full butterscotch and this looks ok.

I have a couple of mates with chianti starmist [aka Chocolate Starfish] its minging. Looks a bit like sh*t brown, dont do it, i have 2 mates with this colour both of whom get masses of stick over it - one griff has even gained the name 'the flying poo' as a result of the ovoid shape and dk brown paint.
