I spent a while there talking to Jackie, she really is a TVR nut. I was wondering out loud what I would get next in place of/as well as the Chimaera, she gave me an odd look and said I'd be mental to swap it for anything in their showroom. I won't repeat what she said about the cars they currently sell compared to TVR
Couldn't wait for me to take mine there for a service so she could drive a 'real' car again!
I think she was wearing an Aston Martin hat, perhaps Ted could make her day and send a PH one

Hang on a minute !

With the Malaysians starting their Chimaera challenge, are they still going to produce Chims for the forseeable future ? They will certainly need a few to take car of racing incidents.

Do the same rules apply as Channel Island cars and can they be imported without cats ?

The malaysians build their own Chimaera's out there. I carnt see them building the newer TVR's as the cost of importing the engine ( and maintaining it) would be huge..

I think the race series is just their way of trying to sell some, their marketing hasnt been that great there arnt even any dealers just the factory. I expect they will continue to build chimaeras out there till they go bust (hopefully never)

I would love a new Chimaera, and love one even more with the 4.5L V8 Cerbera unit, but loads of work would be needed to be done on the Chassis and exhaust to make it work, and to be honest there would not be the sales to justify the cost of this retooling.

TVR if your reading, if you do make one I will sell a lung or something to get one!!

No way are Chimaeras DATED!!!!

I recently saw a Tamora at Mole Valley the other day and thought it looked pretty hard.. I love the arches and bonnet vents (two semi circular ones)..

The rear end doesn't look that fat at all but I love the diffuser. In fact I think TVR should fit them to the Tuscan... Mmmm, Clive!

PS. I've ordered a Tuscan as I love that too!

With regards to Chimaera's and Griffiths, I think they look a little dated but so does an Aston Martin DB4 and I'd have one of those any day!

Perhaps instead of the usual TVR days out I say we just have an organised punch up...

Leather ... why did you go for the Tuscan instead of the Tamora – you must have driven both surely?

Nope. Never driven the Tamora. Wish I had just to check it out.

I test drove a Tuscan S last June before the Tamora was released and knew I had to have one. The looks sold me more than the drive!

The Tamora looks nice but the Tuscan looks evil!
