Go for a good quality motorcyle helmet with a BS rating (someone will be along shortly to remind me what it is). Spend time getting the right one that fits and will still feel comfortable at the end of the day as well as at the beginning.

Don't skimp: it's the only head you've got.

That is possibly one of the best quotes I have seen !!!
Nice one.

I was also advised the same thing, don't buy the best you can afford, buy the BEST

I'm glad I found this thread, 'cos I had the same question.

Also, can anyone recommend a good retailer of race-wear / helmets. Somewhere in the MK area. Oh I've been told bike helmets are OK providing they're BS approved?

Cheers

'Type A' bike helmets are OK.

Dread down in Stacey Bushes have a good range, and Grand Prix Racewear are over in Silverstone.
