chaps, I want to increase the noise level of my 4L '98 chimaera. Can anyone give me good advice on where to go for what (surrey/south London type area). Many thanks.

split the large exhaust box and weld in two straight through pipes...
..as for where.. someone else..??

is this better than going for the ss sports exhaust option (i want a really 'ckin noisy car!!!)? and how much wonga should it cost? cheers once again.

Being mega-loud is great... for a while, but wait until you've got a long motorway journey and you're head is pounding - no fun.

A decent sports exhaustand de-cat is plenty loud enough.

£150'ish should to the box split job.. depends on the Garage...

Stig, thanks for that, but I do precious few long motorway drives in the Tiv, so loud it is. have thought about de-catting, but would probably prefer to leave 'em on. which option is better, the pipe weldy type thing or a stainless sports exhaust, and what is the damage??? cheers

Or try the Zertec mod. Not the cheapest but sounds gr-r-r-eat!
