Hi everyone, hope this good recent weather has brought back the joys of TVR ownership!!
Anyway just a little query, when I open the doors from the inside, turning the nob to the right there is no play and the door opens straight away, however when turning it anti-clockwise i.e. passenger door, it turns almost to its limit before it bites and opens the door!!! Sometimes I struggle to open it. Is there an easy solution to this?
Many Thanks
Rich

This is quite easy. The cable has stretched. Pull the carpet and fibreglass panel away from behind the door, and you will see the mechanism very clearly. The cable passes through a sort of barrel with a grub screw. Just loosen grub screw, pull half a cm or so cable through further, and retighten. Try it again before you refit the panel, and readjust as necessary. If you've ever adjusted cycle brakes you'll immediatley see what needs to be done. The hardest part is getting the trim to go back under the door edge rubber !

Be careful not to adjust it too finely, otherwise your passenger will end up chewing tarmac after a few hard bends.

Remember when the car goes around bends, the body will flex and sometimes if the lock is adjusted to finely it will fling open.

Many Thanks, This could turn out to be quite amusing, i.e. people falling out the car
