NON TVR sorry, VW GOLF AUTO CHOAK

My girlfriends automatic choak on here 88E Golf 1600 GL seems to be sticking, I have been luckly been assigned the task of fixing it tomorrow along with a hundred other things.

Has anyone very played with these and have any idea on how they work and how to fix them.

Might get more response in the general gassing section, rather than the Chimaera section...

Sounds like a worn bimetallic strip, if it works off the cooling system temperature. May require some bending.
