Morgan Factory tour and driving

What can I expect from the drive , I have a Mazda MX5 so am used to rear wheel drive, and a compact driving position , any particular quirks with the cars ,will there be a considerable difference to the MX5 , realy looking forward to this.
Any idea which car is used for the drives

If you are having ago in a traditional four wheel car, you might find the cabin cramped, and the steering a bit heavy at low speed but you soon get used to it.
Best with the hood and side screens off, very claustrophobic with both on, and the all tound vision isn't great.....

A very enjoyable day at the Morgan factory
The drive was a 1 hour tour of the local country side in a Morgan Plus 4 , 2L Ford engine Mazda 5sp gearbox
Fairly comfortable seating ,roomier that I expected ,a good heater means you can be cosy with the top down on a chilly morning.
Unusual pedal arrangement (for me) as in hinged from the floor , soon got used to that , very heavy clutch , told this due to lack of room for foot rest so protecting clutch thrust bearing when people ride the clutch pedal , brakes worked well , no change in feel due to drum rear brakes , un assisted steering heavy at slow speeds but once on move no problem and I soon adjusted to a different feel
I found the engine coarse and vocal , compared with my Mazda that is , but flexible, so no need to row the car along with the gear lever , I am used to a Mazda gearbox so gear changes , when needed, were slick.
The ride was very stiff with every bump in the road communicated to my rear end , the chassis felt solid with little scuttle shake , something I am conscious of in my MX5 .
The long bonnet was daunting arriving at a junction a few mins before the rest of the car , but again I soon got used to it .
In all a very interesting drive , would I have a Morgan , Don’t think so , for me it would be a car to get out at the weekend go to the local petrolhead meeting place like The Grasshopper Westerham , a pint and natter ,then take it home tuck it up until the next outing .
The Factory tour was a step back in time , no apparent flow , some revelations on how the cars are built ,a lot more modern technology than I realised , an eye opener
