Mayday.....aero 8 owners
Discussion
there's a decent looking aero for sale at life's motors in southport. I got mine from there and found them to be excellent. If you're still looking the website is www.lifesmotors.com
I took mine to bruntingthorpe last week for the car control course with Don Palmer. It was an excellent day with lots of spinning and on the limit driving - the car was masses of fun.

Hi mas3200,
I have just had a look at that car, it seem's a little up on price for a 2001,I notice SGT have reduced their 2002 car to the same price.I am keeping an eye on prices because it lopks as though the car market is very flat at the moment and I am hoping to sell my cobra privately.
Good to hear you took your car to a track event,I would like to do that with mine but I am sh1t frightened I might bend it.

Have you seen the two regular Aeros now on sale at Richard Thorne's?

Big-L,
Yes I keep a regular eye on the sites you told me about. The cars seem to be holding their value pretty well, once xmas is over I will start traveling to view some.
Would be interested in the forums views on Areo prices,as I mentioned in my previous post I think the car market is suppressed at the moment.Do you think this will have an effect on reducing Aero residuals? or will their limited numbers keep the prices firm?
David.

From the garages I've spoken to, the retained values are weird. At first because there were none available on the 2nd hand market the prices remained high. When the first few appeared, they lost quite alot of their value as no one liked the looks and overlooked the drive. Now though, apparently they are in demand again and the price has stabilised and it is difficult to find a decent one for much less than 37000.
As for the track, I was bricking it, but bruntingthorpe has massive run offs and I managed to keep it on the tarmac. Don Palmer was an amazing instructor and I can strongly recommend him to anyone. He completely changed my driving style in one day with loads of fun. There's not much chance of binning your car - just the tyres!
