Revamp for MG ZR

New boat for entry level model

MG have restyled the entry level ZR in keeping with the makeovers hoisted on its other models.

The design team at MG whipped out their crayons and penned a new look for the ZR to finish off the range. It's very much in keeping with the facelift grafted onto the ZS and ZT.

The key changes are new twin headlamp units, a restyles backside and a tarted up interior. Also amongst the changes are tweaks to the ride and handling.

Prices range from £10,395 to £15,645 plus bolt on extras.

If this helps Rover to survive then good for them! But for real extra dosh they should follow Lotus. Ditch the 'K", put a Toyota engine in the MGF and sell it in the US. People are bored with the Miata here, which means there are over 100,000 people in the US looking for something new.

Come on MG...now is your time!

Not sure about this at all...

I'm not a big fan of the "new look" Mgs, and this one is just the same. The new styling seems to have taken some of the edge away from these cars, and the ZR seems to follow that principle and it's a shame.

I don't know how MGs would sell in America, though.
Too small, aren't they?

What is MG doing? The ZS looks ok and the 7f can be excused but the new ZT and ZR needs a serious re evaluation. It looks terrible.

I don't like any of the face lifts really, ZS one is probably the best of the bunch.

I prefer my old ZR over the new one to be honest. The rear is all wrong, side skirts worse and the front bumper doesn't look right.

you have the bwest wheels on your motor. I want the 18" for mine but dont really wanna pay loads of money for them.

I'm in IT myself.

I paid £260 for the 17" straights, including two additional new tyres. I then sold my 16" hairpins for £275
