MGF - Steering Column Problems???

I have a C1998 MGF with low mileage - 48K. I have been advised the steering column needs to be replaced!

Has anyone else experienced the same problem??

Does anyone know if it is a 'known' fault??

I might have translation broblems ...

but the steering column isn't a known error to me.

The "Spurstangenköpfe" (Angel stick heads??) of couse suffer alot under usage ... depending on the driving.

What exactly is the problem with your 'F ... how does it behave?
