Guys I would like to see if anyone has any experience/ advice before I ask the garage [with my now worthless warranty].

Briefly, I bought a ZT190SE about a month ago and until last night was delighted with the car. I was driving cross country on unlit roads and the coverage from the lights was abysmal. Having checked the handbook it seems likely that the self leveling has failed and the lights have set to their lowest setting.

My question is whether this is likely to be a simple fix or whether I need to throw myself on the mercy of the garage. NB car was registered in May 2004 and until this week would have been covered under warranty.

Any ides/ suggestion gratefully received.

James

I have just noticed in the news section that there is a view that dealers are responsible for warranties. Will ask tomorrow.

Dealers are responsible for the first 6 months under the sale of goods act, after that its down to the the (ex)manufacturer.

That has been proved by trading standards

Thanks for that.

To update, the dealer [SMC in Slough] fixed the problem on Sat morning while I collected the second key. Happily, there was no mention of cover or not cover so all is well for the time being at least.

Thanks again

James
