MGF - sluggish

hi,
i bought a 1.8i mgf about 3 months ago, and within the last week or so have experienced noticeably sluggish performance....no idea where to start? any ideas.

Did the start of the sluggishness coincide with you filling the car up with fuel?
When was the last time it was serviced?

Hot weather ?

Sounds odd but the enclosed engine bay of an F/TF ( where the air intake lives ) is a very warm place and the extra few degrees lately wont help. Intake air that is already at high temp will dull the performance and Im sure I can feel it on my TF especially in traffic when there is less air movement from under the car.

Of course I may just be talking out my arse ..
