If you look at V8 register in car club or web site, ther are new V8 conversions registered every month. Many companies will build a V8 to spec with new shell, including Tim at Frontline Costello, so not sure whether this is classed as a Costello conversion. My car has RV8 bonnet to enable the K&N x streme filter to fit.
I also understand factory built 6 roadsters.

Information on V8's can be found here
www.v8register.net/
The pre Rover V8's were done by Ken Costello and I believe Dave Vale at V8 Conversions.

When I get round to scanning them in I'll put up some pics of my old MGB, reg no. YAW20K, which I restored 20 years ago.
It was harvest gold when I got it and ended up primrose yellow.
Bought it for £700 and sold it for £2000. Mad really.
ANd yes, those sills are a BASTARD to fit. Well, the proper 'membrane' ones anyway. Took ages to get the door gaps right and ... AAAARRRGHH!
Spot welder anyone?

hmmm - thats my next project on my Midget - not looking forward to it though - door gaps are already wonky anyhow....takes a few chips off every time I shut the door!!
Found anybody offering decent welding serivces yet MikeyT??
Had a couple of BGTs - one 1974 in Bracken and a 1978 rubber bumpered white one - also one of the Jack Brabham converted Midgets with the 1220 cc Godiva Coventry Climax engine, a car I still have albeit in bits.
Also had one of the very first M.G. Metros - as well as an Mini with a Metro Turbo engine in it (not an ERA mores the pity) - which got written off after any accident with an M.G. Maestro after the moron ran a red light at some roadworks. A girl I went out with had an early MGF which was a terrible car.
Run an E30 M3 now - sorry guys ...

Hello PH'ers
Thought that I would register having spotted your MG forum.
My car is an anthracite 2001 MGF Trophy 160.
Good point about the logical step from MGs to TVR too, it's certainly the way I'd hope to go as spare cash etc allows.
Noticed Chris Watton from the MG X-Power forum (now a TVR owner) on here too - Hello Chris!

1975 Midget in Blaze with the odd 'go faster' bit bolted on here and there. Got me to Le Mans this year though, without anything falling off either! Loads of fun, used to drive a turbo MR2 and this makes me grin much more.
Shame I didn't see you Neil - I took my Red '67 Midget to Le Mans as well - only saw one other Navy Blue one (gorgeous one too!!) on the way there...Had a little trouble with the temp guage when stuck in Rouen on the way down (when i say trouble I mean the guage nearly hit the wrong end ) but all in all made the journey there and back from Sussex just fine!!
Yeah i had a couple of worrying moments with the temp gauge too, especially in arnarge on Friday night. I think it's a case of "they all do that sir"
Good to hear your car made it ok though. I only saw a couple of midgets myself, another blaze one like mine and light blue 1275 (being thrashed within a tappets clearance of its life)
Mines easy to spot at the moment due to the white bonnet. (cause i havent got round to painting it yet)

B V8 Roadster built from a wrecked original BGT V8. It was my father's car and when he wrecked it he had in rebuilt on a heritage roadster body. It's more or less standard except for some sdi heads, tubular manifolds, 5 speed 'box and a quaife lsd. Need to get it back on the road, it's been layed up since August 2000.........
