Odometer for Radical SR3

Hi , I need to find a means to record mileage on my SR3 for (the limited mileage) insurance policy.

Do I need to get one specifically designed for motor bikes or? I looked at types for bikes but they only work with a min diameter of 12" for the magnet fixing position and operate up to 80 mph.

There is a magnet that Danny installed on the drive shaft - anyone have any experience of this??

Where did you get the minimum diameter of 12" from? I just found some cheapy old bike speedometer and it worked fine, well in excess of legal speeds (on a private road of course).
