I keep noticing a film of grease appearing on inner rear wheel... could it be coming form CV?...anyone else experienced this?

Yep sounds like it. It could be the CV rubber split or joint 'burping' if its been over filled. there is a little tube vent tube thing that protrudes the CV gaiter that should allow air in and out to equalise the pressure. I'd inspect rubber carefully and the end clips for tightness hopefully you find the reason before getting grease onto the tyre or brake disc. Good luck Ray.
