Any of u advise on what companies you would recommend for track days and cost ?? ...to save m going thru the 4000 questions !!

Take it none of u insure ur cars seem to be big lack of info on this forum or does nobody use it ??

Personally I don't insure, The xs is quite high ie £3k-£5k and I just keep out of the barrier.
Just shop around plenty will insure it.

Hi, never had insurance for track days although I insure my SR3SL through footman James.
Groves and Dean were unable to insure my car unless I fitted a Thatcham immobiliser....bit odd really, they pretty much had no understanding of what my car was? I had flipping loads of phone calls with them as well. They might be ok with track day insurance though, as they kept mentioning it all the time.
As mentioned earlier, might be a good idea to keep out of the barriers....we all want to arrive home in one piece after a track day.

THANKS for replies .seems to be an issue as car is not road registered (race car) and just want it insured for when its stored in garage /transported to race track /used for track days ... nightmare ..most want even look at it .. prices from £2600-3500 ... I had a Porsche gt3 cup car and was covered for above with A Manning for £580 a year with a value of £70k !!! ill just keep shopping ..but looks like ill need to stay clear of that silver stuff G

I get 4 x free track days with my road insurance for My Caterham r500 but if I did not have them I wouldn't not bother to insure - the excess with the 4 free days is 10%
