bit surprised no-one has mentioned anything about this yet - 6:55 is pretty impressive...

That's mind-blowing quick, especially if by "street car" this means that road tyres were used, I wonder what brand they were.

No doubt the sausage-guzzlers won't recognise it of course on the basis that it wasn't done by a Porsche. Fully expect someone to roll out a GT1 racecar any day, stick it on road tyres and then claim a new record.

Managed to download the incar footage of the run, hosted on my site now as the Radical site is running very slowly.

absolutely brilliant - especially now that I know my way round it so well thanks to GT4 - can't believe how accurate GT4 is based on that footage - especially the drop just before the stupidly fast section after carousel (sp?) and the way the car goes light bouncing from one kerb to the other through the stupidly fast section itself.

i think i will probably watch that one a good few times!

I drove that very car a couple of days before the Nordschleife run at Snetterton. They're quite quick, you know! Would be interesting to see how much quicker it went round if they stopped pretending it was a road car and bolted a set of slicks on.
