Trying to decide what to fit to the clubsport. Currently shod with Avons but Matadors are a good price in comparasion.

Anyone driven on both, experiences?

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
I need tyres for my trackday 1100 clubsport. What prices have you got and where from ? Are you looking at new or sh? I have been told that the Matador is a better tyre in terms of performance and durability. If you use the Matador's which are a radial tyre you will need to change the suspension set up. I have Radical's info on caster, camber front and rear if you need it.
Cheers

Matadors come in at £440+vat per set, same price for both wets and slicks. Ah, didn't realise they were radials....that might stuff that idea then as don't you need to change wheels etc?

No need to change wheels. The suspension which is fully adjustable needs setting up for radials. The camber and caster settings on the front and rear are not the same for cross ply and radial tyres.

Just had a chat to Radical, looks like the only changes are more camber which could either mean a different top wishbone or a new shorter joint. I am getting costs so I'll post it up when I get them.

I don't think you need to change any uprights etc! I will post the settings I have (which came from radical) when I get home tonight.
Cheers

No, you're right. They said either the top wishbone or the rosejoint that adjusts the camber to a "new" shorter version.
