switches

hello,

Im looking to buy a xjr 98 r reg, but noticed on the one im looking to buy is that by the auto gear stick theres only one switch,which is for the sports mode, but on some of the xjr theres two switches? whats the other switch for?

the other switch turns the cruise control system on/off, I thought all XJR's had this as standard. maybe it was an an optional extra on some earlier cars

On the XJ40 and I presume X300 (Same interior), the cruise control was located on the control 'shelf' behind the steering wheel, just below the instruments. These cars only had the sports button by the gearstick.

The exceptions to the rule were the early XJ40s (3.6L) which I believe had a 'snow-mode' button there aswell.
