How much is it worth?

My father has a Jaguar 420 that needs selling or needs someone to rebuild the engine and put it back in. He gave the car a complete respray years ago and it is good, the leather upholstery has been renewed with red leather.
He got someone to take the engine out and strip it down to check it, so that's what happened, nothing wrong with it. That was a few years ago though.
My question is how much would it be worth how it is? or maybe someone knows someone who would take the job to put the engine back together.
Another question, how much would this car be worth if the engine was put back in and it was all in working order?
It's a 1967 Jaguar 420.

Classic & Sports Car Nov issue gives values for 420 1966-68 as Show condition £12.5k, Average cond £4k. They show a review in Mag Feb 1997. Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club will be a help - they were to me prior to buying XJS4.0 , but it went off the path today so all contact numbers went with it.
