So, just bought a V6S Coupe, in Salsa. However it does not have the black pack, and I think the chrome does not look quite right. I'm thinking of getting the chrome bits professionally finished in gloss black.

Also, from my V8 Vantage research, quite a few owners would permanently open the exhaust valve by pulling a fuse, or even installing a switch. My forthcoming F does not have the driver switchable exhaust option, but has the standard active exhaust. I wonder if a mod is possible on a similar line? There is little technical knowledge in the field for this sort of thing.

I drive a Disco4 as my everyday car, and the amount of knowledge out there on software modding, upgrading, and customisation is astonishing. The F shares a lot of stuff with the D4 / RRs so I live in hope!

I'm not a lover of the chrome either hence why I went for the black pack, I also changed some of the black pack for Carbon which may be an option for you, the only bits that would need painting /wrapping black would be the window surrounds. There's couple of pics of mine at the start of this thread I think.

Yes , I too have Salsa and the black pack. I do not think the chrome sits well with car as Lofty says the mirrors and other parts easy swap but the window surrounds may be a lot more difficult to do and finding the right person to entrust your new car to is another story altogether!!!

I'm not averse to taking things apart, I mean the surrounds can only be clip on trims. So I might need to buy new black trims if they break coming off, and probably some new clips. I bet the chap at the factory takes about 10 seconds to fit them!

The exhaust valve is more intriguing. I need to know if there is a physical difference in the valve that is driver switched, compared to a valve that is auto switched. If not, then an electrical/software mod might be possible?

Was always fuse 19 on the XKR to keep active exhaust always open.

Sorry can't help with the exhaust as mine has the switch. The first thing I done when I had my Vantage was remove the fuse smile Hopefully it's something easy.

Done a bit of digging, and it looks like fuse 15 in the engine bay fuse box controls the active exhaust valve, as does 43 in the passenger fuse box cool

Question is, does it default open or closed when its pulled read
