i am from stoke on trent, its a fair way to meet up with you guys.

Just spotted this. Yes - Midlands would suit perfectly, as I'm in Derby. I will make it down to one of the Southern ones at some point, though, as well...

Hi fellow "R" ers... sorry, but that's another meeting I've missed because of work..(am on Pope-watch duty !). Hope to be there for the next one. Oh, Chas, I havn't forgotten about the video, it's just that work is a bit hectic at the moment with the Election and now the Pope...I'll see you at one of the meets. Cheers all, Jonathan

Glad to have at last made it to the 'Mill' and met some of the other members (although I have met most before!).

Hopefully I will now be able to give priority to the 'R' club on the first Friday of the month.

Look forward to the next meeting at Ripley and anything else that crops up that I spot!!

So, if you want to go tomorrow, here are some ideas.

EARLY BIRDS
LaurieB and Mandy are planning to join the BMW contingent at Watford Gap Service Station at 0845 for 0900 departure. Laurie will be in his dark blue S-Type R and Mandy in her black BMW Z3M. If you fancy meeting up with them, send an e-mail to LaurieB.

AFTER BREAKFAST BIRDS
If Dee and I go, we will be in a blue Tuscan - Reg No GTO 2 UFO. We will lurk on the roundabout below Jct 17 of the M25 (Maple Cross) from 0930 to 0945. We'll then set off aiming to arrive Donington for Race 9 at 1150.

If you want to join up with us anywhere on the journey up (M25, M1), just send me an e-mail and I'll give you my mobile number.

Iain,

Hey congrats man - yea we should see what uncle Chas can do for some exotic wedding transport ....

Think I was the ony R-club person that to Donnington. My other (the mysterious CoupeGirl from the www.z3mcoupe.com forum) took her Z3M breadvan up. Great meet for the Z3M Coupes - 63 or so turned up - quite a sight. Rod Barrett is racing a coupe this year and along with Hawthorns did a nice hospitality job looking after the masses of owners. Broccers (who posts on PH) did a great job of organising the day too. I just tagged along in the S-type and kept out of the way .....

See you at the next R-club

Cheers,

Laurie

Cheers Laurie,

63 bread vans would be a sight . Only kidding, would be great if we could build up that kind of enthusiasm in the R Club.

PS: I think the 'official club tipple' at the next meet should be champagne - I'm getting a taste for it with all this celebrating

Anyone here in a black S-Type R, enjoy a little dog-fight with a Ice Blue XK8 on the M4 last Sun 10 Apr around Junc 8-10 (I Think!)

'Twas fun, but short!

I thought we were going to meet a Jovial Sailor @ Ripley but the Mill is fine with me.

A lot of clubs do meet at the Fairmile @ Cobham

All the talk was about The Jolly Sailor at Ripley on Friday 6 May (with the XK8/XKR Enthusiasts Growler meeting at Beaulieu on Sunday 8 May).

But the casting vote will have to be the Chairman's and I think Triple 7 is in his Boeing Triple 7 heading to, or coming back, from Philadelphia at the mo.

Come on Gareth, gi'ss a clue !!
