Anyone know how to further improve exhaust sound on F Type, already with the Active Sport exhaust switch? :-)

Make sure it's a V8, and the roof comes down. Then put in Sport and Dynamic modes.

When you say "improve", what do you mean?

Louder is always possible (look at the Quicksilver site), but some owners have just changed the pipe work in front of the back box to modify the way the exhaust sounds.

With your existing setup, loud button on, with the car in Dynamic is as good as it gets - particularly if you shift with the paddles.

Many thanks, Yes looking for louder, need to try in Dynamic then then first? What does that do more than having switched to open?
Will then look at quick silver site thanks

I've got a Quicksilver exhaust fitted to my recently acquired F-Type. Yes it's sounds great when you're driving hard but on a motorway the droning sound just annoys me. Changing down to 7th helps but I'm seriously considering getting the exhaust changed back to original Jag spec.

I had a V8S and recently upgraded to an SVR, the Exhaust is a nice improvement on an already lovely exhaust

Louder doesn't always mean better.

Basically exhaust tuning is the same the world over, no matter who makes the car or engine.

A good catback exhaust will help, different silencer types will produce different types of sound. You'll never radically alter the sound of the exhaust, but you can tune it to different tones. Chambered exhausts will sound different to fibre packed ones for example.

A good crossover pipe, not sure what they have stock, but a H, X or Y pipe can all affect tone and performance.

High flow cats (or remove them if you don't mind the legal risks) will certainly alter the db level and tone.

Some good high flow long or mid length headers.

Then other n/a tuning ideas. A set of lumpy cams with plenty of overlap will dramatically alter the sound an engine makes. But I suspect somewhat of a rare and expensive option on a Jaguar.
