My car is going back this week. Anyone else suffered from “road rash”? I’ve noticed stone chipping just on the plastic in front of the rear wheel arches on both sides - appears to be a known problem design fault by Jaguar and possible warranty repair (loads about it on PistonHeads). I fear lease company will try and charge for it - anyone else have this issue?

How many miles have you done? I haven’t noticed anything on my XF at 18k, 20 months old.

Where is the info on PH that you refer to?

I think it’s more particular to XE rather than XF. My mistake, it’s on the XE forum rather than PistonHeads. My car has done 18k but posts on the XE forum had people noticing it after a few hundred miles. Not great if normal car use, and mine has barely been on a motorway, results in this sort of damage.

I had (until last month) a 2010 XF Portfolio S from new and suffered this from a few months in. I was a bit surprised as I also had mud flaps fitted from new which should have alleviated most of this but it didn't.
