Be very careful using the cheap Mangoose (cloned mongoose) cables if you go down that route. They might well work OK for basic fault code reading and resetting but can cause problems doing any programming or reflashing of software to the car. I managed to immobilise my car for a few days while trying to enable the heated steering wheel I'd just fitted to the car, required the expert assistance of someone with proper interface cable etc.

Thanks I'll look into it. I only need to calibrate the steering angle sensor

I second the comment about cloned software.
I have used it. It has a habit of wiping my keys !
Luckily I have 2 keys.
Also make sure your car battery is on charge and the laptop you are using is plugged into the mains.
I've done quite a bit of programming with it. But won't risk ECU update.
Happily done gearbox adaptations reset and other stuff.
