Shame this thread died. I've been looking at the latest "approved used" XKs to replace my 2009 Focus RS - wife has said that, at 56, I should really be driving something more grown up. Cow!
When I say "replace" I really mean retire. I can't sell the Focus as I've driven it from new to 132,100 miles so it's a keeper for track days and car shows (and I love it after all these years) but could I really be grown up in a last edition XKR?

Can't believe you're still driving kid's cars at 56! I was on Jags at 30 and TVRs at 35...Yes, get a proper car
will establish budget and plan after the summer.

£6k is bonker an 08 XKR with 90k has to be between £13k-£16k
On a slightly off topic note - what is with Jaguar just now? There is no current XK and little prospect of one. They are committed to all EV by 2025. Sales are still well below where they should be. Its great to be at the cutting edge but you have to make cars people want and I think they are losing sight of that.
My view FWIW is that Ian Callum has led them up a blind alley. The latest XF is a visual disappointment, the XE is a good car but not distinctive enough, the F Type is not a 911 competitor it is too small, too heavy and lacks luggage space (the previous XK was a better 911 competitor) and the XJ just doesn’t work at all, in no way a successor to the 1968 original or the X300 or X350. The SUV’s look and feel the part and should outsell the BMW equivalents but don’t.
It’s fine selling electric E Types for 300k but that isn’t a large scale business model. People imho are not going to pay fortunes for a car just because it’s electric.
