I have an old XKR cab 1999. I'm having a problem with the alarm. The wireless fob no longer works with the car meaning you have to stick the keys in the ignition quickly to stop the alarm going off every time you get near the car.

I've made sure the fob is transmitting okay. But the problem is when I read online about how to synchronise the fob with the car nothing works. The light above the gearlever should come on and the car beep at you which never happens.

I used the mongoose software to try and synchronise the key but that didn't work either. I suspect the alarm bow may be faulty.

Anyone know an indie in the SE london NW kent area you can sort out an XKR alarm system??

Several years back I had a key problem with my S Type. One worked the other didn't. I went to the local JMD and their guy simply operated both keys together several times beside the car and all of a sudden one of them "talked" to the other and they both worked. May be the same for you if you have two keys.

Jag Spares Penge. Has the Jag software and breaks cars so if you need parts he'll have those.
