Hi, I've just put down a deposit on a one year old 4.2 SE S-Type so I thought I'd drop in and say hello. I sold my Boxster S a few weeks ago and I've been trundling round in a 33 year old Series III Landy so to say I'm looking forward to having the new car is a bit of an understatement! Hopefully the performance won't be too far off the Porsche (probably excepting the handling!) so I'm looking forward to hooning in the lap of luxury this time next week! Does anyone know any other Jag forums or websites that are worth a look?

Hi Rotaree, you could start by looking here http://forums1.roadfly.org/jaguar/forums/stype/ . Quite a few people here regularly post on the XK8/R section of the roadfly forum, here... http://forums1.roadfly.org/jaguar/forums/xk8/ and as your car has the same engine as the XK8, you may find this site just as useful (hope the links work!). Enjoy the car, cheers, Jon

Try the Jaguar enthusiasts cub (jec)monthly mags. local meetings and events, good insurance deals and so on, also discounts for being a member, oh good choice in swapping the boxhead skateboard, well done, you won't get better than a big cat

pmsl - Yes there is something quintessentially british about wafting (posh equivalent of hooning ) along at warp speed in total and utter comfort and Jags do it with such aplomb!

But then they can get nasty and down right vicious when up set. Take the Badass Lister 7LTR MKIII. Or the very beautiful XJ220. Cats with claws! And bloomi' great teeth!

Would that be similar to a thesaurus found in some DICTIONARIES?
