coffee I was amazed to see the trip computer showing an average fuel consumption of 32MPG yesterday. By my reckoning that means that the fuel pumps are running slower when doing a constant 50 through the "road works" on the M1 than they do in stop start traffic in a jam.

I only have an XK but on another thread I mentioned I was getting 37.2 mpg at a steady 70 mph. Pretty good for a 4.2 l V8. Makes it easier to justify the purchase to my wife who is obsessed with fuel economy !

18mpg when having fun/commuting daily with no thought to MPG.
28/29 when on a steady run.
4.2 XKR

They're decent when travelling at a constant rate...but then again...theyre bloody good fun when not biggrin

XFR here, but same 5.0l supercharged engine.
I was amazed to see 28.7 MPG from Bournemouth to London the other week. Could have been higher, but there was a spot of heavy stop start traffic on the M3. So i'm guessing that i could see about 32MPG on a steady 60MPH route.
Normally i see about 18MPG, at best.

It's a 5L convertible one, I normally average about 20 but rarely do long runs where it gets a chance to get into it's stride.
Get it out of the garage, pop into town and back and I'll be luck to hit 10MPG whistle seen that playing too

Well I’ve had my XKR 5.0L remapped & now sounds like an F-Type. Amazing when you can play with throttle feathering on overrun but MPG going down lol.
Smiles per Gallon alright ! But still can easily get 27 mpg on a run though. But not such fun
