Jaguar I-Pace lease thread
Discussion
For those that have ordered. I checked with the lease company today re. MY20 changes, they checked with the dealer who advised that the car will be MY20 and hence will have heated windscreen, heated washer jets and heated steering wheel.
Which is a bit of a result as I had asked for prices for the cold climate pack, but it added too much per month.

Very nice event laid on by Jaguar. As for the I-Pace, well I was very impressed by the drive and handling of the car. The pace, performance and ride comfort were super impressive. Lovely sound from the motors under full acceleration.
All the cars were HSE spec level, so all toys and soft leather. But they were also fitted with air suspension and rode beautifully. It would be interesting to see what standard springs would be like. No wind noise or tyre roar. Very well, sound proofed.
Downsides. I found the seats uncomfortable, similar to the ones in my previous Discovery Sport. Too firm and cut into my thigh.
Not a huge fan of interior, bit to plasticy and old fashioned imho and not worthy of the +£70k price tag as driven.
Going to Oulton Park on the Art of Performance Tour next Saturday, is it just I-Pace or are there any other cars to try?All the cars were HSE spec level, so all toys and soft leather. Went to the one at Goodwood House today. Great day and the ipace is very impressive. Also had a spin in a XE and FType. Great event laid on by Jaguar and the acceleration of the ipace is rather addictive ??
Had a brilliant day at Oulton Park on Saturday, thanks Jaguar. I didn't really know what to expect with the I-pace but was blown away with the performance & roadholding. For a 2.2 ton car it felt like a sportscar going round Oulton - amazing!Jasper3.0 said:
The offer was 1+17 @ £400 for 5k pa. iirc the fee was £230 ish.
The order had been placed with a Jag dealer in Manchester via Jaguar Contract Hire.
I think the deal closed on the 29th, but there was some suggestion that there might be something else in Q4.
Anymore news on the Q4 one?The order had been placed with a Jag dealer in Manchester via Jaguar Contract Hire.

I missed the deal as I was on business when the OH gave the go ahead and it had finished before I got back which is a shame

I ordered through Fleetprices and have just chased them for an update as I have signed the finance paperwork a few weeks back but not heard anything since.
Some people seem to have been given build/delivery dates. Anyone else heard anything on this?

Thought I would post this. Jaguar in Holland have started handing out this memo to customers re. range. Apologies for google translate. I posted this on the i-pace forum:
Now there are 1,000 Jaguar i-pace on the road! And we count more every day. Customer first read that the i-pace would have a range, according to the NEDC, of 543km, then we get the results of the WLTP with a range of 480 that was later adjusted to 470km. Now that we are driving more and more, we also receive more feedback about the range with current weather conditions between 270km and 390km. Gragg we inform you to deal with this.
WLTP
The WLTP driving cycle is divided into four parts with different average speeds: low; average, fast and very fast. Each part includes a variety of row phases, stops, accelerations and braking. Of every type of car, every powertrain (engine and gearbox combination) is tested, with a WLTP outcome for the car in its lightest version (the most economical) and heaviest version (least economical).
The WLTP was developed with the aim to be used as a global test cycle for various regions in the world. So that CO2 emissions from polluting substances on the world scale would also be comparable. Although the WLTP indeed has a global common xxxx, the EU and other regions will apply the test in different ways, depending on legislation for road traffic needs.
Actual range Jaguar i-Pace in practice, between 270km - 555km
Customers will quickly notice on the basis of their driving behaviour and the temperature will differ so that the range will be less than the WLTP figures.
City Winter: 390km / 242mi
Highway Winter: 270km / 167mi
Combined Winter: 325km / 201mi
City Summer: 555km / 344mi
Highway Summer: 340km / 211mi
Combined Summer: 430km / 267mi
The actual range strongly depends on speed, driving behaviour, climate and route.

No different to fuel consumption really. Manufacturer advertises 60mpg. No one gets that. Some may get 30, others 50.
I wonder why jaguar Holland feel the need to publish this info?
I suspect they're getting complaints from those new to EV driving, especially considering the i-Pace is quite poor on economy - and now winter's here those poor figures are even worseI wonder why jaguar Holland feel the need to publish this info?

We normally heat our cars using waste heat which the engine is only too happy to be shot of, with an EV I assume there isn't any waste heat available for this purpose (or at least not enough for them to have bother to collect) and so your scarce fuel is needing to be used and most people do understand that electric heating is expensive.
