Rust on x types

We went to see one the a few days ago very nice all round till we looked under it, rust everywhere and i mean everywhere, some bits worse than others.

What the hell is it with these things, never mind all the crap about Mondeos (yawn) they're bloody good cars in general so what the hell's wrong with them and rust..

Do you mean surface rust ?
My company has rust proofed a few of these over the years. Generally speaking the surface rust can look a bit scabby but they don't tend to rot as much the STypes from what we have seen.

Surface rust is easily treatable it's just down to the fun thickness of the coating applied.
