I have had an issue with my Jaguar XF saying it had run out of AdBlue which it hadn't, I had t be towed home as it would not restart.
The garage has said that the AdBlue had been overfilled you do not fill a Jaguar right up, does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

It is possible to overfill the tank. The tank needs an air gap to allow for change in temperatures. The level needs to be checked through LR diagnostic equipment to ensure the correct fill level is achieved

18MY onwards JLR vehicles now show the required amount to fill on the dash in the service menu

It's £29.99 for a refill at a Jaguar dealer, or free if you are on a service plan.

They also sell special 1.89 litre bottles which are ideal for topping up with as they don't spill.

The air gap is mainly used for the ultrasonic sensor they use to measure the volume of fluid in the bottle as AdBlue doesn’t start freezing until -11C

Similar to filling up with fuel, you should always stop at the first click and not brim it.
