I leased a brand new jaguar e-pace and within 2 weeks the car went into limp mode on the motorway. Jaguar assist attended and advised it was a DPF issue and the dpf was replaced. 10 months on and I am now on my 5th DPF.

It is currently in the garage as the warning light came on again within 5 minutes of driving it off of the forecourt after having a new DPF. The jaguar garage have advised that there is a brand new software update relased this week that is required along with another new DPF (It had a brand new DPF only 4 weeks ago!) Is anyone aware of this 'brand new update' I'm concerned that they are misinforming me.

I currently have a complaint with the lease company as I dont want the car anymore.

Even though the E-Pace platform (i.e. Discovery Sport and Evoque as well) has a problem with the DPF that is a phenomenal record, and as you were on a motorway it hardly sounds like you are only driving around town for short journeys (which would be a problem).

Best bet is to work with the lease company to reject the car as not fit for purpose.

Drive the car back to their office, leave it outside the door. Use internet banking on your phone to cancel the direct debit.
Go inside, give the keys to a member of staff and walk out.

If they contact you, explain that you returned the car to them because it doesnt work, and that you're not paying to hire a car you cant drive. Explain that you'll be happy to reinstate your direct debit if they deliver a funcitonal vehicle.
Doing this will fix the symptom you are experienceing.

To fix the problem rather than put a plaster on the symptom, buy a car without a DPF.

Most likely got a problem with pressure sensor rather than the actual DPF. You need to find a different dealer

Is it the D150 ? If so, there is a catalogue of problems with DPFs on this platform and there have been a lot of disappointed customers. My wife took delivery of a 'D180 First Edition' and was one of the first customer registered models in the UK. It's been back to the dealers numerous times (not for the DPF) and although on a 4 year PCP, we're looking to get shot as TBH it's not a very good car.
Tiny fuel tank, not very good MPG, very heavy and worst of all very poor dealer support (took them three attempts to align the bonnet after delivery and numerous repeat visits for other faults).
