Someone earlier suggested supporting UK companies and jobs. Yes, jobs as JLR employs people in the UK but to be clear they are Indian and have not been UK owned for over 20 years. I'm not sure what English companies remain? Atom?
JLR does far more than "employ people in the UK".It is a British company that designs and builds F-Types only in UK factories.
So yes, buying an F-Type does support UK companies and jobs.
Imo it should be an important consideration when buying a car, where was it made and how many British made components are on the car ?
If you are buying Audi VW Merc etc then a fair bet nothing what so ever supports the UK economy . It doesn't matter if it is a Honda, Nissan or BMW (mini) if it is made in the UK at least some of your hard earned cash stays in your own economy.
In JLR case then yes a small profit % is squirrelled away to India but the main chunk supports UK jobs and business .
I'm not suggesting that we should only buy british but at least give them a try, So many people seem to be brain washed into going straight to Audi or Merc and wont even consider the UK made equivalent .
Drive your Jag with pride
Or TVR !
