Quite a few more cars for sale on Autotrader this week, a lot of them being V8S and it’s the middle of Summer confused

Maybe those on the fence are trying to get max money before it all goes down again.

Standard F-Type gear change on the paddles. My old XFR-S had it too. Pretty much nullifies a manual box. The new F-Type R is really whiplash inducing.

Ha, you and I both wish biggrin

Although, my decision is made, V8R Coupe for me, unless the V8R Convertible prices really crash to nearer £40k this year, which I seriously doubt!

Less than 10% of the time. The auto is so good anyway.

Similar to myself though I must admit that lately I have been making more effort to use the Paddles .

I used them a lot in the XFR-S, less so now. Maybe the AWD helps as there’s no longer the need to cringe when it kicks down hehe

When there are people in other threads saying a 2005 plate XJR is worth 14k, you’re being fleeced like an overly fluffy sheep.

Lowest on Autotrader is £36k. No way would they give up 20% for a sale when everyone else’s asking is at £38k+.

Just resurrecting this thread... I've handed back my BMW 440I and am now looking at an F Type. Loved the six cylinder and zf8 gearbox so the v6s jag fits me right.

Is there an "ideal" spec I should be looking for. What's a must have?

Also, if its a 14/15 plate, is the infotainment that bad? Coming from idrive most things won't feel great but I'm worried it's a total waste? I really just need DAB and Bluetooth but a map that works would help. I assume it doesn't have android auto or apple carplay?

I'm in no rush, probably a Xmas purchase and also depends on prices with the current madness but up to 40k sticker price feels right for my budget.

Thanks!

I have decided (I think) to go back to looking for a m2 comp as that was my original choice and I have a nipper.

When I was looking I wanted,
- pano roof.
- performance seats with good adjustability! Some come with very little adjustability.
- parking sensors at the rear.
- 20 inches wheels as the 19’s look a bit poop.
- black pack for me was a must as I hare chrome.
- it had to be the ‘s’ variant.

At 40k I would be looking at a 2016 model. I have heard the infotainment and reverse camera quality are appalling so go in with low expectations. Also, the sound system is pants by all accounts. Make sure the steel support struts under the car are not corroded and the dif is not leaking.
