My attention was drawn to this earlier by my good friend Phil over on Jagchat and I have to say its a wonderful and indeed surprisingly rare car to find especially at this mileage .
I was wondering what the consensus was about the visual merits of the X358 when viewed against the earlier X350 . Its always been my opinion that the larger plastic bumpers on the later car completely destroy the purity of the original design , there is also far too much plastic frippery attached like those non operative Brake Cooling vents and the plastic Grilles . If only they had left it at the wing mirrors with integrated indicators I would have been quite happy wink

Subjective opinions of strangers are irrelevant. Buy it if you like it. If you don't, don't smile

Price looks a bit on the high side, 2008 @ +22K

OK twice the mileage and 2 years older, but 1/2 the price!

The Dealer had a pair of them the last time I looked. £22k is about par for the course at this mileage , whether they sell at that money is of course another question .

I bought a 17 plate 3.6d XJ with 20k on the clock 2 years ago for under 30K!

Hence me saying that a 2008 for 22K seems high.

But as it's down to personal choice and your OK with that sort of price then buy it. smile

Its a totally different Motor Al aimed at a totally different marketplace hence the asking price . It will also retain a greater part of its value and be more desirable over any diesel Jaguar .

I prefer the brake cooling vents on the 358 in body colour at which point together with the bumpers it gives the car a more modern hunkered down look. The 350 is a more elegant flowing design where the 358 has a bit more 'brute' about it to these eyes. So coming up to 3 years ago I bought a non R 358 for £6k @ c.125k miles which looks a very close match in spec and colours to the advert and been really happy with it. Horses for courses as they say smile
One note of caution is that in such a low miler you may need to be ready to deal with some electrical niggles as anecdotally cars laid up or not driven for long periods can throw a hissy fit if voltage has been allowed to drop.
