Jaguar Super V8 , The Best At A Price
Discussion
For anyone who appreciates the X350 clearly its an unrepeatable car , in fact I cant remember when I last saw something similar . Its interesting thus far that nobody has raised the margin this Dealer must be enjoying . Its hard to believe he paid much more than £10k for her ? I am desperate to know the backstory around this car but unfortunately initially at least I found the Dealer very hard to deal with

Our friend in Bedford turns up another Peach , thats two at the same Dealer .

I had an XJ6 of that generation.
Build quality of a pie throwing contest, tracked with all the predictability of a pissed up crab and had more electrical faults than southeastern trains signalling department. It spent a good chunk of its time in the garage with the dashboard off trying to persuade the heater matrix into life.
Low miles? It probably wasn’t running!
Each to their own but not for me.

Not really, I had another Jaguar since, an XFR - brilliant car. But that generation of XJ, no thanks.
I had several of the X350 with absolutely no issue Stuart , in fact judging by some of the unprecedented ( at least by an XJ ) high mileages being recorded they are proving themselves pretty durable over the long term . I bought a Super V8 from Jag West London a couple of years ago .
I had a Xj6 Sport new in the 1990 s and fancied dipping my toe in to Jag ownership again.
The car was re imported from Japan, and was in pristine condition. The price was at the top of the market but no where near the sum asked for the examples in the thread.
My car had 58,000 miles on the clock ,was in classic green with barley leather and included extras such as walnut veneer pick nick tables etc
The idea was to use the car sparingly on sunny days as I have a Fiat 500 as a daily driver.
I love this car, the Fiat has been relegated to be my partners shopping car and I now use the Jag on a regular basis and have added over ten thousand miles to the odometer.
I have had the xjr grille fitted as I thought the chrome grille was a bit too much, and also had the car de badged to keep the rear a little les cluttered.
I suppose because I am of a certain age I just love the old school interior and the scream of the supercharger when I floor the throttle is addictive, but I certainly would nt pay upwards of twenty thousand for the privilege.

That is absolutely beautiful and I am always desperate to hear of Members who have taken the plunge with a Japanese Import . Jag West London for me are probably the Premier Import Specialist where Jaguars are concerned and I have long admired their stock . I especially like the Cremona Alloys , they really set the car off . My only misgivings with Japanese Imports is that you have to be careful with the Specs , some of the wood has the appearance of Seventies Formica

Totally agree red diesel . some of the interiors look as if they came from IKEA.Although I paid top price from West London Jaguar they gave it a complete mechanical check, changed the speedo to mph ,changed the radio and sat nav to uk specs and fitted a rear uk number plate plinth as the Japanese market has a square aperture ,plus they gave me a warranty and a free yearly MOT for as long as I own the car.
The Jag sits in the garage alongside another supercharged V8, But whereas the Corvette is loud, fast and a bit of an animal this just delivers the power so effortlessly ,and with a 0 60 time in the 5 second range, it really pisses off the German brigade, who weren't expecting an old geezer in a jag to leave them at the lights.
I love the 20 inch wheels but must admit the ride on the low profiles is a little firmer than you might expect.

Fantastic . I was talking to a Porsche Enthusiast the other day about the 911 being subject to almost 50 years of continuous development whilst still retaining the same styling cues that were found on the earliest Models . Universally praised model after model whilst sadly by some the X350 was derided by the usual turnips for those very same reasons ??? The Car was a Technological "Sea Change" from what had gone before and the Trade have long realised that fact and price good ones accordingly . All those that championed Audi and BMW back in period I invite them to stick their respective cars alongside yours and see which design has stood the test of time .The ridiculing the X350 took in period for not being " modern enough " was completely perverse in my opinion and factually unwarranted . Its my intention to buy another soon and I shall buy the best I can afford . As far as I can see from many years of research there is no issue with Jag West London Japanese Imports and I shall certainly be looking at their stock when that time comes .

Its still here . Imagine walking out to the Forecourt each morning and seeing the For Sale Price still attached and no prospective Buyer in sight .
I tend to get a bit saddened because at realistic money there will be some Jaguar Enthusiast who will give her a good home

Another Month passes without a Sale . Its my car of course but at £10k to £15k . Above that sum I begin to look and feel a bit silly . I hope a genuine Jaguar man purchases her but the trouble is that most of you " old blokes " are running around in F Types . People are staying younger longer .

And they've changed their name to Timeless Motorcars and completely revamped their website as well.My inner cynic needs to know if the business was doing well and enjoying a positive reputation why anybody'd do that.
