Not sure about stiffness, if any one can find figures they would be welcome.

That relates to the old model XK.

Just been out in a black convertible, black leather, aluminium interior with the big wheels.

Very impressive indeed. Great refinement considering the wheel/tyre package. very comfortable and more spacious than the old XK although still not what you would call roomy. Roof is impressive too, folding flat very quickly and providing proper roof type refinement. Interior quality good but perhaps a little generic. The exterior looks loads better in the flesh than in the piccies, with lots of visual muscle.

That's all I have to say!

I was at a Jag garage for a while recently whilst buying an estate and I couldn't believe how much better this car looks over the predecessor XK8 - it was stunning from any angle even the front. I wonder how many comments here are from people who have never seen one in the flesh?

Which is why I can't believe the negative comments over style: There is no comparison between the outgoing XK and this one - the old one was ugly in every department compared to the new. I want Jaguar to survive and this is a huge step in the right direction.

I can't agree that the old was ugly by any measure, but I agree that the new one does look good, and much better in the flesh than in pictures.
