i have been away on holiday/business for 17 weeks. on my return i find i have a completely flat battery. i cannot open the boot to gain access to it either.have tried the key but to no avail.
i do have a little gadget in my loft that allows one car to charge anothers battery via the cigar lighters,is this safe? or can anyone suggest anything else? thanks in advance

You dont say what year/ model. the green key will not open the boot, you will probably find due to never being used the lock barrel is partly seized, you can try spraying WD40 into and working the lock. Another way is to open the bonnet, and connect jump leads to a good earth point, and one of the fuse box power supplies. They hace a black rubber boot over the poistive side. When you have this connect you can now open the boot, as you normally would. Disconnect the battery before charging. Hope this helps.
