Good looking car. Very Ian Callum though...shoulder, C-pillar, and bonnet-lines have clear Aston-Martin influences...

...and while I know the current AMs are among the best-looking cars, surely car designers can get away from 'safe' stuff they know they can do?!?

some can - Pininfarina, some haven't - Callum, but is not as if Aston and Jag were that far apart anyhow - luxury british saloons.

Horray! Jag finally ditch the retro shite that's been holding them back for two decades.

If they build that I'll let you flog me one Phil.

Oh good another Jag concept. Perhaps they might build one of the things sometime.

I agree, although i think it's good they're getting away from that rubbish faux e-type grill thing they've been sticking on their sportscars recently, an the s-type aswell.

I think those photo's hide a lot. Ian callum just draws the same car and then sticks some crap lights on it. Look at the XK.

Build that and Jaguar will be back in business. I would have that over something like an E class (which in comparison looks dull) any day.
Agreed, but will they?

We've been here so many times before with Jaguar, and been let down each and every time. The cynic in me says it will end up as some rebodied Ford shit heap instead of this, but God, I hope not.

Its about time Jaguar started looking forward, not back. Their calls aren't selling like they should, so its time for some innovation - isn't it?

ummm. looks similar to the Ford Iosis to me.

Though please note, I liked the Iosis and it would be great if Jag built a car that looked this good.

Front nice, but rear is disgusting and what are those side outlet things on the wings (XK has em too).

New cars look like they are straight out of a video game, too fussy!

How come the lot of you are worried about Jag not building this?
I mean, Id imagine this is to the production XF what the Advanced lightweight Concept was to the XK... a quite accurate preview
...the mags do say that the roofline would be a little higher to accomodate people in the back - but otherwise, minus some concept-ish details, this is the XF... Im sure of it
and what a stunning car too - I liked the S-type a lot and am a little sad to see it go paperbag
but I think seeing this around would make me a happy man again

You're right, why are we worried? It's not like Jaguar (or Ford for that matter) have ever let us down before.... tumbleweed

Love it for sure, as has been mentioned, hope Jag don't dilute the real thang too much.

I'm sure the rear exhausts and rear diffuser will change, as will the front bumper and wing mirrors and for sure the interior. But I love all the details so far.

I love Jags very much, but thats not a Wildcat (Jaguar).
It looks like a pimped Volvo Sedan Concept.(And it looks good for a Volvo)
But it looks not Jaguar like.
I hope Jag will never realize these Concept.
Its a mix of all,but i cant see really known and beloved
Jag Design Elements.
I would buy a Jag,and not a Volvo
with Jaguar Badge.

I agree Its the bastard son of the AM Rapide and the Iosis Concept with the front end straight from the Audi Nuvolari Concept. That huge rounded grill looks so out of place between the sharp lines of the lights. I think the designers inspiration for the grill must have been Daniella Westbrook's nose, pre-plastice surgery!

It seems to me Jaguar start off with an Aston Martin and see what they can do to make it look cheap.

All the general managers of Jaguar dealerships have seen the car and my GM says that this is the car that they all saw so hopefully should be as the pics show bar a few minor changes

fantastic concept and im sure the production car wont be too different either from what Ive heard ears

re flashygee above: im not sure Jaguars sell to customers who dont know where to put an 'an' instead of an 'a' in their sentences anyway......

bastard son or not it looks awsome, as everyone has said, lets hope they dont dilute it... i love everything about it, even the slightly ned blue neon inside, the wheels look amazing the front end is lovely and i like the back end as well.

I dont quite understand why anyone would think this looking like an aston martin is a bad thing! they are wideley regarded as one of the best looking cars ever made, so this can surely only be a good thing?!
If they build this they should be selling up there with the BMW 5 series and Audi A6/8 (i hate the look of mec's so i dont include them )
