Newbie/ Jaguar owner for 6 years
Discussion
Hi all
Just joined up!!!!
Owned Jaguars for the last 6 years.
My first was an x type 2.0 SE in platinum silver, beautiful car, owned for 3 years.
I then moved nto a x type 2.2 diesel sport in black. Yet agin, another great car.
I now own a s type 2.5 sport with all the toys, in black, picked it up a cpuple of weeks ago, only 10 months old. Used to belong to one of the Directors at Jaguar, and I cannot tel you how much I love this machine.
I've driven the usual C class mercs and the 3 series beemers, but nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing comes close to the feeling you get from behind the wheel of a Jag!!!!

Can't argue with any of that. I have only been into Jaguar ownership for the past 4 years, Jaguar interest from day one on this planet, I think!!! There is perhaps one type of vehicle that would possibly beat the Jaguar for that intangible feeling when one gets in. That is a Rolls Royce or the Bentley equivalent. Never been on the road in one but I have sat in the drivers seat of Shadows - wonderful! Jags are more affordable to run though. I started witha '94 XJ40 which is a Gold special edition, but did not appreciate just what I was buying at the time. What I actually bought was another interest, namely taking it to summer rallies and classic car shows. It is in far better condition now than it was then, but it was still described as "Superb"! That spured me on to by a Series 2 in drag, a 1978 Daimler Sovereign which is the subject of a rebuid. Taken 2 years of spare time so far! Last September, I won a good award for the '40 at a JEC Rally, and celebrated by buying a wonderful '97 X300 Executive that was on sale at the show to add to the fleet!!! A marvelous, if expensive day. So I'm sold on them!!! Trouble is the day car is a 2005 Vectra Estate 2.2 diesel. Marvelous car in it's own right but seems like a Massey Ferguson if you drive it shortly after one of the big cats. Perhaps an x type estate to follow in the future? I'll just dream on......

If you have not already, put some sort of non-age related registration on, use some chrome plate surrounds and it would look even better. Most people are unable to tell the age of Jaguars post 1986 so if it looks like new, they think it is!!!
Hiya Mate!
I have done exactly that already........... a nice 'V8' plate as well!! Am certainly pleased with the car generally and can't believe the comfort and performance!
