Well done, mate. But you could have bought about 4 XJ40 Sov's for that.laugh I have one but it's had it's last MOT. I'm getting an X300 Sov next.

I just bought a 97 xj8 3.2 sport,70000mls with 2 yr old engine,one sweet car.
Drove her from fife in scotland down to work in italy,26hrs door to door inc ferry etc.
Am delighted with the old girl, she is immaculate in and out.
I am having trouble finding a workshop manual for this model though so if any of you guys have any info on that it would be appreciated.

Get the CD version from Ebay. Usually go for around £5 - £7.50.

Spot on. I've never driven a car where you can travel so many miles without feeling like you've been through the wringer. Welcome to the club!

I'd second that, the JTIS is the only one to have. Most of the copies/workshop "guides" on ebay are shyite. Trust me, I've bought enough of them.....

My earlier happiness about my immaculate 97 xj sport has just been dampened a little by some b------ with a key and a jealous streak.Wouldn't you just love to break their scrawny, chip shoulder no good necks??????
