Stype tail pipes
Discussion
wifey just got 3.0 s-type and on way out of dealer says "the exhaust pipes look rubbish, can you get some stainless end pipes for it"?
Now me being all things good when it comes to buying cars and the like I am not usually beaten when it comes to this...but this time i'm stumped so i'm turning to my pistonhead bretheren for help...!
any numbers, weblinks or mere confirmation that i can actually buy the bloody things would be greatly appreciated

Any auto-parts shops such as Halfords will have them. You can also do a Google search for exhaust or tail trims which will bring up sites like this one:
www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductList.asp?cls=ROAD&grp=RP047&pgrp=R005&tlgrp=RD002
You will find them in both chrome and stainless, stainless last longer and are less prone to pitting, etc. I usually keep a coat of wax on mine...

Hi, if it's an early ish S-Type the original trims are welded in place, meaning any of the clamp on ones u can buy need to be big enough 2 clamp on top or u'll need to cut the existing ones off first. The other option is to fit a pair of performance stainless rear exhaust boxes, these usually have larger stainless trims, try Elite Performance Jags (01332 265826) if u fancy these as they have some in stainless with 4" tailpipes, they are about £330 the pair IIRC.
