What MPG from an X350 XJR ?
Discussion
All down to how you drive it.
The car's air suspension, which is a work of genius whatever the track day cases say, drops the ride height in motorway conditions, and that combined with the lightness of the monocoque, and also the fact that the engine is so understressed, means that you can achieve superb fuel economy. Mid-20's is no effort, and you can do better.
It really is a car you should have no right to expect to buy at £60k, never mind the sort of figure you actually can buy them for.

my short test drive of a 04 plate got a cruising of 34mpg at one point (which can't be true). how ever on the long motorway section during the test drive i was hitting 28-31mpg. i would expect if you cruising at NSL you should get 30mpg, i get 29mpg in my old xkr 4.0 when cruising at 70. i must be lucky as most people get low to mid 20s..
