Well, I am now at my wits end.
Parked the car on the drive last night, no problems.
Got in this morning, at 0615. Bloody thing wouldn't start.
Tried and tried, it turned over, but didn't fire up. It has fuel, and spark.

Went to work, came home, had another go, same symptoms.
A mate came over, who incidentally is a good mechanic, had a fiddle with his diagnostic jobby to which it reads "mil fault"
He fiddled about with the air fuel mixture, tried again, it made an effort but again, bugger all.
Now, we have a battery which is starting to have no juice left.
Do you think I know where to attach jump leads - do I heck. I dont want to connect the battery directly in the boot as I remember hearing somewhere that this may 'pop' ecu's, and also from memory in other cars there is a specific connection point - oh no, not in my Jaguar.
My questions are.
1. Where do I connect the sodding jump leads.
2. How the hell can a car break itself overnight.

The only thing the car has had done recently was a 'blow by'test to check the nicasil problem hasn't reared its head - which it hasn't, this was done at a Jaguar main dealer 2 days ago. I believe they had to connect something to the engine for this - however the car started fine after that.

I have really had enough of this car.
Beginning to seriously doubt my sanity getting rid of my german efficiency wagon for this.

Assuming we are talking about an XK8. My MY2000 book says:

"Do not run the jump start vehicle's engine when boost starting a jaguar vehicle. If the jump start vehicle's engine is running and the jump leads are disconnected, damage to the jaguar vehicle's electrical system will result."

What I have read here everythink else is the same.

All details are on page 4-8 of the Vehicle Care book.
