S type - OUCH!!!!

My 99' S Type went to the main dealer for an MOT yesterday.
Bad news say's the service dept. the cars failed on one of the headlight adjusters or levelers.
It means a complete new headlight unit. Not so bad so far!
£190 + vat for the headlight and £400 + vat for fitting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cos the front end has to come apart to get the new unit in.
If manufacturers are making cars in this fashion these days then I find it absolutely laughable.
It's bloody obvious to Jaguar when the design a car that this is what will need to happen should the headlight unit need replacing for any reason. Do they not have a brain or are all the designers so damn wealthy that they would'nt care if it was their car??
